All of my entries are friends-only so if you know me already and want to read them, friend me and I'll friend you back and we'll be good. If I dont know you, don't bother trying.
I am a student, camp counselor, lifeguard, researcher and day care teacher. I find a lot of inspiration from things I see, and am careful when oserving the world in which I reside. Only a little earthy-crunchy on the outside, but there's a whole lot more of that on the inside. I am happy with the person that I am and I recognize that I got to this point in my life for a reason.
I was a previous LJer but there has been a break in entries and in the way my life is in general. This new LJ is a new begining, a rebirth, and a really amazing process. My user name for this journal is based on a personal philosophy dealing with life and living in this world.
It was an early morning on my way up to school for move in when stopped and hoped the whole world would stop with me. I wanted everyone to enjoy the morning with me. That morning began at 4:15. The sky was black and even the dogs were silent as I left my dad’s house. I drove to my grandparents house about 25 minutes away to meet up with my stepfather and grandfather before heading up to UMaine. We had left by 5:30 am and just as we drive out of the driveway and begin driving down the road I look a head and see the color emerging in the sky. I love dawn. I hate waking up that early but I enjoy the feeling of rebirth and the cleansing feeling that occurs inside me whenever I have the chance to enjoy a sunrise like I saw that morning. We continued on our way and as we get onto the highway the rising sun fills the sky to the east with a golden glow. The clouds, not overly high in the sky stilled loomed but were highlighted with a color I could only describe as magenta. Traveling due north, the risen sun is directly to my right. That early morning golden glow is began to fade but underneath all that was a beautiful blue sky and a few clouds with illuminated edges from the brightness of the sun.
It amazes me how many people live in this very same world yet never take the time to admire its beauty. There are so many people who travel through this world and simply take up space. I am a firm believer that even though my body takes up space and I cannot create any additional matter I have the ability to create space. Not as in increasing the volume of the world, but by taking and replenishing, by enjoying, by saying my please’s and thank you's, by smiling, by leaving this place better than I found it. I can create a space in this world. I don’t have to create space to create a space in this world.
